RATM playing across from the RNC… what could go wrong?

Sunday, August 24th, 2008

The rebel rock group Rage against the Machine are playing on September 3rd (the same time as the Republican National Convention) in St. Paul, Minnesota at the Target Center. If their last co-liner with a political convention is any sign of things to come, this ought to be a intense night. From the VH1 article:

De la Rocha recently called for President Bush to be “tried for being a war criminal,” and during the band’s Lolla set, he raged against the last eight years of Republican rule and even had a word of warning for “Brother Obama,” referring to presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Senator Barack Obama.

“Now, we know Brother Obama. … But I tell you what, if he comes to power come November and he doesn’t start pulling troops out of Afghanistan, I know a lot of people who are gonna stand up and burn down every office of every Senate.”

Bushism of the day (Decider-iffic!)

Friday, July 25th, 2008

Instead of providing a bushism for today’s entertainment. I have found the coolest site I’ve seen all month. Its an interactive website with a “W” doll that speaks “deciderese”. All you have to do is pull the string for your Bushism! Why you could even have more than one in a day!

Hilarious ‘Late Late show’ clip

Thursday, July 17th, 2008

This is a classic clip that I never tire of. Its from the Late Late show hosted by Craig Ferguson. This classic clip of President Bush giving a speech “drunk”.

Check it out:

By simply slowing down the video, president Bush’s speech takes on new life! Genius.

Is Osama Bin Laden dead?

Monday, July 14th, 2008

We haven’t heard from Osama Bin Laden in a while. I still find it hard to believe that the most technologically sophisticated and best trained and equipped military force in the world cannot locate a 6 foot 4 inch man missing 2 toes and walking with a cane with an enlarged heart and lugging around a kidney dialysis machine (view his host of ailments and wounds here)?

Multiple sources outside of the U.S. say hes already dead. Whaaa?

The list of outside sources include, the President of Pakistan, the President of Afghanistan, the now dead Benezir Bhutto, the FBI, Israeli intelligence and others all either say hes is dead or most likely dead.

Bush eats kitten

Today’s bushism.

“There is some who say that perhaps freedom is not universal. Maybe it’s only Western people that can self-govern. Maybe it’s only, you know, white-guy Methodists who are capable of self-government. I reject that notion.”

Today’s bushism.

“We’re going to — we’ll be sending a person on the ground there pretty soon to help implement the malaria initiative, and that initiative will mean spreading nets and insecticides throughout the country so that we can see a reduction in death of young children that — a death that we can cure.”
