Most everyone at some point has been employed at a company where some undeserving relative has been hired on and is “less than effective” at his or her job functions. This article from the DailyWTF? is a painful tale of one such ordeal. I do not know how accurate or true this yarn is but I’ve experienced situations like this personally and if anything, its a good read.

Its a story about Simon, a developer that is leaving his tech company for greener pastures elsewhere. Hes kind enough to spend time interviewing and training his replacement. Well, I will just let you read the rest…

What happens afterwards is pure insanity!

What does the bloodied and battered first place finisher win you ask? Why the wheel of cheese they just “chased” after of course. Those who come second or third receive a small cash prize.

I had read in the past mumblings of comedians like Carlos Mencia and Dane Cook stealing material from other comics. Naturally, this doesn’t resonate well with the L.A. comedy scene. I was bored one late night and decided to peruse youtube for some Carlos Mencia videos. What followed was a torrent of content that took me deeper into the annals of the world wide web.

First off, I never thought Carlos Mencia was that funny. He was screaming needlessly and looked like he needed to get laid soon or a vein would rupture his forehead followed by a glorious fountain of arterial blood spray spewing into the audience (now THAT would be funny!).

After seeing a few videos that provided compelling evidence that Carlos Mencia was indeed lifting material from other comics, I stumbled onto Joe Rogan’s blog (Fear Factor host, UFC color commentator and stand up comic). He has a segment on his blog where he actually confronts Carlos Mencia on stage at the Comedy Store in L.A. Its a raucous affair for all the world to see.

Joe is not afraid to say whats on his mind and calls Mr. Mencia “Carlos Menstealia”. Further bantering reveals that Carlos Mencia is not even Mr. Mencia’s real name. Evidently, its Ned Holness. So it seems the claims that Mr. Holness puts forward as a Mexican immigrant is all a facade?  The verbal pummeling continues as more fellow comedians come forward on stage and later backstage claiming that Mr. Holness does indeed steal material from fellow comics that he performs with.

This may all be conjecture but its an interesting feud if anything.

Evidentally, some Dallas City Hall council members skipped out on science class in “skool”. A bizarre exchange between city hall members erupted when a special meeting was called over how to handle traffic tickets. Directly from the city hall blog:

“Commissioner Kenneth Mayfield, who is white, said it seemed that central collections “has become a black hole” because paperwork reportedly has become lost in the office.

Commissioner John Wiley Price, who is black, interrupted him with a loud “Excuse me!” He then corrected his colleague, saying the office has become a “white hole.”

The kicker is that the council member that uttered the “B” word, was asked to apologize for the racially insensitive comment? huh?
