Anheuser-Busch (NYSE: BUD), the last remaining U.S. owned major brewery has been sold to InBev (Euronext: INB), a group out of Belgium. This agreement to combine the two companies, will form the world’s leading global brewer.

With the weakening U.S. dollar, this may just be the first of many foreign aquisitions of american corporations.

For all the neocons out there that might be stupid enough to try an discredit “Ike”, he had more patriotism in his left nut then you all possess in your whole bodies collectively.

There are thousands of channels of radio, television, magazines and periodicals that are published/broadcast in the U.S. Did you ever wonder who owns it all and where it all comes from?

Well you don’t have to dig too deep to find some answers. It all boils down to 6 companies that dictate almost everything you see, read and hear. 6 companies! The “big six” are Time warner, CBS, Viacom, General Electric (huh?) and News Corp.

Here is a more detailed list of what the big 6 own and control. Its this stranglehold over media outlets that are keeping the american people “in the dark” about the nefarious happenings occuring within our governmental institutions.

I’m not saying stop watching TV or listening to radio, I enjoy music, movies and TV just like the next guy– just be aware of the “unified voice” coming from most mainstream corporately owned outlets. If you just dust away the top layer of soil, you can begin to see the truth behind matters.

Think for yourself. Don’t let any network or magazine tell you how to think. Find whats “cool” for you, not what the latest fashion magazine tells you is “cool”. There are millions of people in this country, we should have millions of styles and perspectives… not 6.

My good friend hobgadling sent this link over to me a while back. I’ve been meaning to pass it around but was short on time. Its a wonderfully animated story about materialism and consumption. From the website:
