The thing with two heads!

Wednesday, December 23rd, 2009

This is pure cinematic gold. This could be one of the greatest films of all time. I haven’t seen the whole movie ever, but I plan to over the holidays. The thing with two heads stars Rosie Grier, a former NFL football player as a black man who has a white man’s head transplanted onto his body. Sort of like a conjoined Odd couple.

I wonder if this is coming out for Blu Ray?

Pixelmash theater!

019

For those of you who have played old school PC games from the 64k days, I have a neat site for you to check out. Its called Pixelmash theater. Some ingenious fellows named Foldsfive took the time to recreate classic movies in their pixelated glory. Think of it as an 8 bit cliffnotes versions of classics like Raiders of the Lost ark and Star wars! Ah, these little cinematic gems hearken back to the days of the Commodore 64 and the Atari 2600! Oh the memories…

If you’ve got some time to burn and your waiting for code to compile or even if your in a boring meeting or something, take a minute to check it out. Good stuff!

The ultimate Star Wars geek wedding

Monday, December 1st, 2008

Found this on Bored-bored.com. Its a photographic journey through the ultimate star wars geek wedding. Looks like Admiral Calamari is marrying a carol burnett lookalike. I’m not nearly a big enough star wars geek to identify all the the attendees.

My only question is “Where the hell is Lando Calrissian“? The party don’t start until he walks up into ceremony with his silky cloak!!

Mysterious Stranger

Tuesday, November 25th, 2008

I found this curious claymation cartoon that was created for children which ended up supposedly being banned in the U.S. Based on the Mark Twain’s Mysterious Stranger short story, the cartoon is reportedly a sketch in the “The Adventures of Mark Twain” movie released in 1985.

The same animation house that made the famous california raisins commericals in the 80s did the stop motion animation for this film. Take a look, its an oddly creepy but very well executed piece.

Josh Brolin puts acting career in Jeopardy

Friday, October 3rd, 2008

In one of the most unwise career decisions, Josh Brolin is committing professional suicide by doing what no actor should ever, ever do. He has decided to go “Full retard” in his latest movie!!

Maybe he will make a comeback like John Travolta or something, but wow, talk about tanking ones career…

Watch the trailer below to see previews.

The coolest DIY Iron man costume ever!

Wednesday, August 6th, 2008

I am...

Story from /film:

Advanced Iron forum member TMP just completed his custom Iron Man costume just in time for the film’s theatrical premiere. Incredible work! Stan Winston would be proud. TMP says he spent $1500-2000 on the material compound alone, never-mind months of trial and error.

Superb craftsmanship. Although this isn’t the best Iron Man costume out there. This costume has a”dash of realism” thrown in with it.

First 6 minutes of ‘The Dark Knight’

Sunday, July 6th, 2008

Oh goodness. The Dark Knight is looking like its might be better than Iron man. I won’t give too much away but after viewing the first six minutes of the movie, I think it could’ve definitely used some CG backdrops (I never imagined Gotham to be bright and sunny??). Reportedly, the director Christopher Nolan is not too fond of CG Special effects though. Regardless, check out this trailer and drool over some Batty goodness!
